My story Going to the Pond is a colorful, bright, and educational story. The characters are Mom, son, and all of nature's wonders, in the backyard! The book is appropriate for children ages 2-10.... The story is simple,  and the message is to teach and create memories right outside your door. There is a world of wonder and education for children when you step into your own backyard. In the times of video games, Wii, cell phones, etc., we can easily miss the teachable moments that come from a long walk outside with our young children. Exploring together, we bond, communicate and learn about the environment all around us. In this story, mom and boy enjoy all that the backyard pond has to offer. The characters bond, and talk about all the animals and plant life that surrounds them. I wrote this story while sitting at the pond watching my oldest boy exploring. I have the best memories of those precious moments, and I am so proud to share my vision with my readers. Please enjoy, and my message..Keep exploring!     more
